Tynor B2B Wholesale - Privacy Policy
Tynor B2B Wholesale (“the App”) is developed by AppVare (“we”) for Tynor Australia Pty Ltd. It adds wholesale (business-to-business) selling to a Shopify store: price tiers, trade account applications, quotes, tax invoices and wholesale checkout rules. This policy explains what information the App handles when a merchant installs it, and how that information is used, stored and deleted.
Information we collect
- From the merchant's store, through Shopify's API: store name and domain; products, variants and prices (to calculate wholesale prices); markets, catalogs and price lists; companies, company locations and company contacts (business name, addresses, tax registration, payment terms, contact name, email and phone); orders and draft orders placed by companies (order number, line items, totals, tax, shipping, payment status, PO number, billing and shipping address); and payment terms templates.
- Submitted by trade applicants on the merchant's storefront: business name, ABN, business type, contact name, email, phone, delivery and billing address, answers to the merchant's application questions, and any documents the applicant uploads (stored in the merchant's Shopify Files).
- Submitted by customers requesting a quote: name, email, phone, the products and quantities requested and any notes.
- Created by the merchant in the App: price tiers and pricing rules, company notes, credit limits, contract prices, email templates, invoice details (business name, ABN, bank details), optional SMTP credentials for sending email, optional reCAPTCHA and ABN-lookup keys, and API keys for the merchant's own ERP integration (stored as a hash).
- Shopify access tokens needed to call Shopify's API, stored on our servers and never sent to the browser.
How we use it
Only to provide the App's features to the merchant: calculating and writing wholesale prices into the merchant's Shopify price lists, reviewing and approving trade applications (which creates the company, location and contact in Shopify), preparing quotes and draft orders, tagging wholesale orders, generating tax invoices and payment reminders, enforcing minimum order values and shipping rules at checkout, and reporting. Emails (application received, approved, declined, order received, quote ready, invoice due) are sent on the merchant's behalf from the merchant's own sending address. We do not sell data, use it for advertising, or combine it across stores; each store's data is accessible only to that store.
Data written back to Shopify
The App stores two app-owned metafields in the merchant's store (a store-wide configuration and a per-company wholesale profile containing tier, minimum order, contract prices and credit status) so that Shopify checkout Functions can apply the merchant's wholesale rules. It also adds tags to orders and customers (for example “B2B” and the tier name) at the merchant's request.
Where data is stored
Data is stored in a PostgreSQL database on a dedicated virtual server operated by AppVare (SSD Nodes). Connections to the App use HTTPS. Access to the server is restricted to the App's developers.
Retention and deletion
- Data is retained while the App is installed so that the merchant's wholesale records remain available.
- When Shopify sends a customer data deletion request, we anonymise that customer's trade applications and quote requests (name, email, phone, address and answers are removed).
- When a merchant uninstalls the App, Shopify asks us to erase the store's data 48 hours later, and we delete everything stored for that store, including access tokens.
- Merchants can delete individual applications, quotes, companies and prices from inside the App at any time.
Your rights
Customers and trade applicants should contact the merchant whose store they dealt with. Merchants can contact us at info@appvare.com to request access to, correction of, or deletion of data held by the App. We respond within 30 days.
Changes
We will update this page if the App's data handling changes. The effective date above shows the latest revision.
